Hotel...

We stayed in the Fairfield Hotel, which is an old hotel, totally redone. It's very modern inside which is usually not what I go for, but the price was right ($159.00 a night) the area was right(close to Navy Pier) and once we got there, it was very right (included a continental breakfast: waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, hot/cold cereal, juice, coffee, milk). The carpet in the hallway was orange, rust, cream and grey, and in our room it was orange and cream. Very modern lamps, the orange throw on the bed was just like an oversize runner you would put on your table. The lobby had modern tables and seating and outside in the entrance, were chairs (more like the suggestion of chairs) that reminded me of rocks. We had a corner room, 804, it's the room on the left of the hotel front that has the curtains all ascew (14 floors total).
