I LOVE these Prismacolor Premier colored pencils.
They are soft and effortless to use, giving a thick, rich color that makes me very happy.
I never end up with ripped or gouged paper because they go on so smoothly.
I tried several different brands of colored pencils while I was in school, and for me, these are by far the best of the lot.
They are a little on the pricey side, but I found these on-line for a fraction of the cost they were in the store.
I just love them!

Oh Prisma Color pencils. I have tons of them. Love them. Now I'm wondering what you are drawing...perhaps you will post some photos?
